Warmun (Turkey Creek) to Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) and Fitzroy Crossing

After staying at Warnum on wednesday early morning we stored our caravan in the lockup and headed for a 2 night 3day stay in the Bungle Bungle national park, taking provisions and our tent, the drive in and out was something to remember (rough and corregated).

Bianka drove part of the way and as you can see full concentration was required but it was fun.

First stop Kungkalahayi lookout
Then setting up our tent at Kurrajong campground

From there we traveled to the first off our walks a distance of 2 km, Echidna Chasm.

Sunset from Kungkalahayi lookout that night.
Almost time for bed

Early next morning we walked to Mini Palms Gorge which is a 5 Km round return walk

Bianka playing Possum
Midday we traveled to the airport for our Bungles Helicopter flight, flying over the vastness left us speechless and in awe

the photo's don't do them justice and here are some:

We spent the night at Walardi campground so we could start early next morning and do our last walk before it would get too hot.
The Cathedral Gorge and the highlight of the Bungles this include the Domes Walk and the Grotto
The GrottoAfter leaving the Bungles we camped at Mary River free camp next day moved to Fitzroy Crossing for a well deserved rest and total clean up and visited the Geikie Gorge and a informative Gorge Boat tripNext Stop Derby so till then cheers
