Horizontal Waterfalls Edition

This part of our blog is a picture gallery of the 24 hours spent on a luxurious Catamaran in Talbot Bay and depicts our highlight of the trip so far.

We had booked the 24hour overnight stay, 11.20 am Bianka and I were picked up at the Derby Caravan park for our flight to the falls.

The flight by Water plane
took approx 40 minutes over some of the most rugged mountains on the foreshore of the Kimberly's in WA.

The landing was exiting and smooth we taxied to a pontoon and disembarked, we were served coffee and tea and a great lunch of Barramundy then of to do the
Waterfalls for a thrilling ride on a rubber dingy which seated 12 people but our party only had 4 of us Bianka & I and another couple, what a thrill, we went throught the wider and the narrow falls 3-4 times forwards back wards it was great, after this back to the pontoon onto a party boat for our boarding of the Cat which was anchored some distance away.

Once on board it was anchors up and we sailed away
for our anchorage some 10 km away amongst the Islands in this part of Australia, this started a pleasant and serene overnight stay with fishing, sightseeing etc.

Some of the highlights where: our feet in the water while sailing along, seeing flying fish in front of the bow, Bianka catching a fish
, Sunset and Sunrise and great food.

Herewith the photos of our stay
