Karumba to Tennant Creek

It has been a while and all due to Telstra and the stuff up they made over the last few weeks, because off the faulty modem they supplied and could not fix, the new replacement, a wrong modem twice before we received one that worked, anyway I will spare you the boring details.

Nothing on the road

On the 8th June finally left Karumba after a great time had,We moved to Normanton for 2 days as I had an infection in my left foot and it needed to be held high for a few days, so we didn't do much at all anyway I recovered and we moved on.

Road to Lawn Hill

Lawn Hill, We spent the night at Gregory downs Free camp it was here we made the decision not to take the van into Lawn hill due to the state of the road and decided to treat our selves to an overnight stay in hotel acommodation tents,
with Dinner and Breakfast included at Adels Grove, wow are we glad we did, the stay was superb the drive in and out terrible and only offroad small vans went in.
While there we had a great time superb dinner of Burramandi and then Breakfast was to much even for me but I managed, upon arrivall in the AM first day we walked a few treks and went swimming
in the river, night time saw us in our tent and a great queensize bed, great sleep, next day another walk and we canoed the Gorge, and swimming at the end of it. approx 3pm we headed back to Gregory downs and picked up our van after a large cash payment of $5 and stayed on at the freecamp once more, then off to Mt Isa in the morning stayed in freecamp at TerrySmith Lookout and then the Telstra sagas, but we enjoyed our stay and visited a few things here as well, stayed for 6 days and went under ground in the Hard Times Mine, a replica of the real thing. How authentic can you get and best we have seen for a long time, went to lake Moondarra, the lookout at Mt Isa provided a great view both by day and night of the Mine and its workings. The weekend of the 19th Mt Isa had the Show and Mini Rodeo and on friday we went it was small but nice.

Telstra sent its new modem but the wrong one, so after new arrangements and shopping we got on the road again
and Freecamped at Avon Downs met some people and made a fire and spend a grat evening chatting, next night freecamp Frewena with the most friendlies flies we could meet they hung around till dark.

So now we are in Tennant Creek this morning got the Modem although the wrong one it works till I speak to Telstra again
as we are staying here a day or 2.
I will end and continue when we are heading north to Darwin and every place possible in between
.
